WP7 database restore

Hi there, I have a WP7 375kb sterling database which in the emulator takes a matter of seconds to restore and then query... On the actual device it's taking 2 minutes 30 seconds!  Is there anything I can do about this?  Maybe embed the database file from the desktop into the actual app?!

If there's probably not much I can do about this, please let me know

thanks

There's not much you can do - the problem isn't with Sterling, but with isolated storage. On the phone, it's just slow - you can manually copy a file to isolated storage of the same size to see for yourself. If the data is read-only you could write a custom driver to parse a resource file and skip the copy step. The other approach is to stage the data - i.e. perhaps back up the key data needed to get the user to a start screen, then load the other data in the background.
